Brooke & Shoals was founded by Alison Banton in the quaint seaside town of Greystones, County Wicklow, known as the "Garden of Ireland". Alison's passion for fragrance was inspired by the divine aroma of her petals that she collected as a child in her great-aunt Mollie's rose garden. Mollie used to say that "the stream and the whispering shoals" would help her turn the rose petals into a perfume. The words of Aunt Mollie and "the brook and the shoals" piqued the curiosity of Alison, who over the years has founded the company.
